INTRAWARE LAUNCHES NEW VERSION OF DIGITAL FASTBALL SERVICE

ORINDA, Calif., - February 21, 2007 - Intraware®, Inc. [NASDAQ: ITRA], leading provider of electronic software and license delivery and management solutions for enterprise technology companies, today announced it has released the latest version of Digital Fastball, a delivery and file management service for professionals and consumers who create digital content.

"We're excited with what we've been able to accomplish for Digital Fastball users with the latest version of the service," said Peter Jackson, Chairman, Chief Executive Officer and President. "Unlike other services, Digital Fastball is based on an entitlement management platform that enables users to control deliveries of digital content quickly and securely to intended recipients around the world, and in way that can lower costs and improve user satisfaction."

Based upon proven technology from Intraware, the new version of Digital Fastball features a new user interface for the uploading and sending of files, and offers better cross-browser compatibility.

Other significant improvements Intraware has made to Digital Fastball include:

  • Simplified contact management;
  • Improved upload functionality;
  • Tighter integration with the next-generation file transfer protocol from Aspera, Inc. for faster uploads and the ability to upload multiple files or directories at one time; and
  • New search functionality to locate previously uploaded files and deliveries.

What Makes Digital Fastball Different?

There are many ways to send files, but Digital Fastball differs:

  • From Email: because it addresses the problems of emailing large files and the ad-hoc, unorganized nature of email;
  • From File Sharing technology: because it provides entitlement-based control over who can receive the files;
  • From Internet Backup services: because it is focused on delivery, and makes it easier for others to receive files; and
  • From other Web Delivery services: because it handles very large files, can deliver multiple files to multiple recipients in one step, and incorporates faster transfer technology.

Digital Fastball also differs fundamentally from other services because it provides a single, always-available digital repository (or "virtual vault") for each recipient. This repository contains all of the content recipients have been entitled to receive from each sender.

At the same time, senders can continually control the content that recipients receive. As a result, previous deliveries can be modified to include new or updated content (or even remove content) at any time. Senders can also monitor who is downloading their digital content.

Digital Fastball is a free service for both senders and recipients, and the sign-up process is simple. Please visit www.digitalfastball.com to begin using it.
