INTRAWARE TO OPTIMIZE DELIVERY OF DIGITAL GOODS WITH AKAMAI'S ON-DEMAND DISTRIBUTED PLATFORM
ORINDA, Calif., - September 18, 2006 - Intraware®, Inc. [NASDAQ: ITRA], a leading provider of electronic software and license delivery services, today announced that it has entered into agreements with Akamai Technologies, Inc. (NASDAQ: AKAM), the leading global service provider for accelerating content and business processes online, to resell and provide Akamai solutions to Intraware customers as a value-added service provider.
As part of the agreements, Intraware will integrate Akamai's technologies within SubscribeNet® (patent pending), a Web-based delivery and support platform, to help customers achieve the most efficient and cost-saving electronic software delivery. Using Akamai's global EdgePlatform of over 20,000 servers, Intraware expects to provide customers with cost savings, increased scalability, and performance improvements via higher software download completion rates.
