INTRAWARE RENEWS SOFTWARE DELIVERY AND MANAGEMENT SERVICES WITH CRITICAL PATH
SubscribeNet® Service Agreement Extended to Support Expanding Digital Software Delivery Needs
ORINDA, Calif. - January 3, 2006 - Intraware, Inc. [NASDAQ: ITRA], today announced that Critical Path, Inc., a leading provider of messaging software and services, has renewed its contract for Intraware's electronic software delivery and management (ESDM) services for an additional two years.
By using Intraware, Critical Path enables its global customer base to easily access and download new software releases and updates. Critical Path is able to provide its customers this access through the use of a variety of Intraware SubscribeNet service tools. These include 24/7/365 Web access to a personalized and secure archive of all entitled software and updates, proactive email notifications, and the ability to track updates and downloads across the customers' organizations.
Critical Path will also continue to benefit from access to the SubscribeNet service's flexible, real-time administration functionality, including granular subscription management, extensive reporting features and automated export compliance that enable software publishers to employ a single automated solution to integrate their delivery processes seamlessly into their customer support, product management and other business systems.
"Intraware gives us an easy and cost-effective means to provide our customers with online anytime, anywhere access to our software," said Mark Palomba, Critical Path's Executive Vice President, Worldwide Services and Support. "We chose Intraware as our ESD provider because ESD is their core business. In addition, Intraware has been able to provide an array of sophisticated online tools to help us better serve our global customers and streamline our business processes."
Critical Path made the decision two years ago to move from physical software distribution to almost 100% digital distribution via the Intraware SubscribeNet service.
"Critical Path is continually developing flexible and innovative solutions for email, mobile email and value-added messaging services," said Justin Benson, VP of Sales and Marketing for Intraware. "Their early recognition of the value of ESD is yet another example of their history of leadership and innovation, and we are pleased that the SubscribeNet service has been proven to meet Critical Path's stringent requirements for a reliable digital delivery and management solution. We look forward to continuing our relationship."
